MWCC Business Administration Students Guaranteed Admission to FSU

MWCC FSU Business Administration Degree TransferStudents in Mount Wachusett Community College’s associate degree program in business administration will be guaranteed admission to the baccalaureate business administration program at Fitchburg State University under a new agreement signed by the presidents of the two institutions.

“We both agree that regionalization is important,” Fitchburg State President Richard S. Lapidus said. “The smoother we can make the transition for our students, the better it is for them. Providing clear pathways makes sense.”

“This region is really on the cusp of a renaissance in local business,” Mount Wachusett Community College President James Vander Hooven said. “We need to have opportunities for budding entrepreneurs to have that educational component.”

Under terms of the agreement, students in MWCC’s associate degree in business administration program will be guaranteed admission to Fitchburg State’s online and day school bachelor’s degree program. The MWCC students will have access to an assigned university representative to help answer any questions they have throughout the process. Those students will also be invited to participate in special program-related events on campus such as speakers series while pursuing their associate’s degrees.

Academic credits earned as part of the required associate program at MWCC will be applied towards the Bachelor’s degree at Fitchburg State University, in alignment with the Mass Transfer Pathway.
