Job Description: The Town of Natick is accepting applications for a Mechanic/Welder at our Department of Public Works. This positions is responsible for performing skilled work in the inspection diagnosis, trouble shooting, repair and maintenance of town-owned equipment. In addition, he/she must have working knowledge of operation and maintenance of power-driven equipment; ability to perform heavy and strenuous work over an extended period of time; change and repair tires, chains, and snow plows.
Qualified candidates will have a Vocational High School Diploma, a minimum of two years of skilled repair and maintenance experience, and a CDL Class B license with air brake endorsement. Hoisting license preferred or obtained within 180 days of employment. Candidate must also have a complete set of tools that are in good condition.
