Cindy Cadoret - MWCC Dental Program ChairCindy Cadoret, MPH, RDH, CDA

Ms. Cadoret received her Associate Degree of Science, Dental Hygiene from Quinsigamond Community College and holds a Master of Public Health Degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has over 30 years of experience as a dental hygienist and has worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, public health, and academia. She spent 8 years as a faculty member at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where her responsibilities were focused on education, dental public health, and oral health disparities research. Ms. Cadoret is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), American Public Health Association (APHA), American Dental Education Association (ADEA).


MWCC Dental Faculty Ellen McCrackenEllen McCracken, RDH, MEd

Ellen McCracken has been Assistant Professor in the Dental Hygiene Program at Mount Wachusett Community College since 2006. Ellen has been an RDH for 31 years and has practiced as a periodontal hygienist as well as in general dentistry. Some of the courses she teaches in the didactic and clinical setting include Process of Care I and II, Oral Pathology, Oral Health Promotion and Community Health.

Service learning is incorporated in her curriculum, through the course Community Health in which the students in their final semester participate in community outreach in preschools, middle school sealant programs, centers for homeless/developmental disorders/domestic abuse, veterans outreach and nursing & assisted living homes. She is a co- advisor of SADHA, the student dental hygiene association, serves on the Civic Engagement/Service Learning committee at MWCC and is a member of the MWCC Dental Hygiene Advisory Board.


MWCC Dental Faculty Virginia HerouxVirginia Heroux, RDH, MS

Virginia is a native of Worcester, MA and has practiced dental hygiene in both general and specialty practices in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. She received her Certificate in Dental Hygiene from the Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists and her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Rhode Island. She holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Bridgeport in Biology with Emphasis on Nutrition.

She has been teaching at Mount Wachusett Community College since 2006, both in the classroom and in the dental hygiene clinic. Currently, she teaches Ethics and Professional Issues, Pharmacology for the Dental Hygienist, and Dental Hygiene Process of Care III and IV. She is co-advisor of SADHA, the student dental hygiene association, serves on the Outcomes Committee at MWCC and is a member of the MWCC Dental Hygiene Advisory Board.
