It's great to hear from our MWCC Business Degree graduates...
Hello Prof. Bolduc,
I hope things are going well. I was just
looking at the MWCC Business program
website, saw your name and wanted to say
hello. Since graduation from MWCC, I've
wrapped up my BBA & MSA (Masters of Science
in Accounting) at UMass Amherst.
I've also recently become a Certified Public
Accountant in MA - just think, all of that
started in your Accounting 101 class!! I
think it's great to see that the school is
promoting the transfer program and the
earning potential with a business degree. I
can vouch for it first hand.
Take care and enjoy the summer weather!

Hey Prof. Greenwood,
It's Ross Hauptman from two semesters
ago. I'm here at UMass in the Isenberg School of
Management and something happened today that
reminded me of your class and on the impact you had
on me as a teacher. I'm enrolled in a capstone
course for Marketing called SOM 441 which is a
senior level marketing management course. Our first
project was an in-depth SWOT analysis of the
Polaroid Company.
After countless hours of hard work I
handed in my lengthy report/project feeling pretty
good about it. Today in class the teacher informed
us that the average grade was a 61% for my
particular case study (Polaroid) and he proceeded to
tear apart everything that we did wrong.
To make a long story short as I
flipped through the pages of my returned project I
saw the grading rubric and found that I had "aced"
it. A 100% as a junior in one of the most important
senior level courses in my school! I can't explain
how excited/proud I was but the first thing I
thought was back to a particular day in your class.
I had just finished giving my portion of one of your
infamous group projects and you pulled me aside and
asked what my major was. I returned "Bus.
Administration" to which you replied "marketing".
Since that day I haven’t looked back
or worried about what direction I would take in my
degree/career. So I just wanted to say thank you for
everything you taught me in class and the faith you
put in me and just wanted to share this
accomplishment of mine.
Sincerely,
Ross Hauptman

P.S. If MWCC business students have
questions about UMass, the UMASS Isenberg School of
Business or the transition to
a large four year school please don't hesitate to
give them my email...I'd be happy to talk to anyone
about it.
