Computers

The Academic Support Center offers computers with Internet access and word processing; self-paced instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics; tutorial review and practice; and supplemental instruction.

We currently use the individualized learning program Learning Plus. This is a self-paced tutorial that both assesses a student’s current skill level and suggests specific areas that need improvement.

At the center, we adhere to MWCC’s policy on computer and network usage, as explained below:

Mount Wachusett Community College expects the users of MWCC’s owned and operated computers and network resources, or those who connect to it, to utilize such resources in a responsible manner.

Internet

Acceptable uses include: activities that support MWCC curriculum development; MWCC related events or businesses; and educational research. Unacceptable uses include: personal communication; commercial use; use for illegal or illicit purposes; and viewing, listening to, storing, and/or distributing obscene or objectionable materials.
