OSHA "10-Hour" General Industry Safety Training This is a two-day program tailored for all types of manufacturing industries. Ken Hanson, Workforce Development Coordinator, and an OSHA authorized General Industry Outreach Trainer, will introduce participants to the Occupational Health & Safety Act. He will show where the standards are located in the manual, identify the most common violations and ways for abatement, and show you how to locate OSHA sites on the web. He will also cover at least nine OSHA standards such as: - Walking and working surfaces - Means of egress & fire protection - Electrical safety - Personal protective equipment (PPE) - Machine guarding - Hazardous communications (HAZCOM) - Lockout - Tagout (LO / TO) - Welding, cutting and brazing - Permit required confined space
The program will be tailored to meet the needs of the participants, who will receive a CFR 1910 manual, an OSHA course completion wallet card, a course completion certificate from MWCC, and numerous handouts.
