2008 & 2009 SPRAY FINISHING CLASS SCHEDULE This 3-day intensive workshop familiarizes participants with the equipment, systems, and techniques of spray finishing. Topics include surface preparation, equipment types, evaluation and spray applications associated with industrial finishing. The latest technologies are explored. Each student has ample opportunity for HANDS-ON application of coatings with several types of spray tools. APPLICABLE INDUSTRIES INSTRUCTOR: Steve Stalker, Manager - Industrial Training at ITW Industrial Finishing (a leading manufacturer of spray guns and supportive equipment supplying any industry requiring spray finishing) Steve has thirty years of vocational training experience to the Auto OEM, Wood Furniture and Aerospace industries. Among the companies he trained are Boeing, Chrysler Corporation, the U.S. Army Tank Command, Sherwin Williams, Kincaid, Broyhill, Thomasville, Masterbrands Cabinets, and Dupont. WHEN and WHERE: August 5-7, 2008 (8:30 am - 4 pm daily) The Robert D. Wetmore Center at Mount Wachusett Community College 444 Green Street, Gardner, MA 01440 There is a limit of 18 students per class, so please register early. This is a non-credit workshop. Safety: During the hands-on sessions, safety gloves & glasses must be worn and will be provided at no charge. A charcoal cartridge-style respirator may be used at participant's discretion. Participants may bring a proper respirator or purchase a DeVilbiss MSP-521 on site for $40 (cash & check only). In this workshop you will be in brief contact with common finishing materials & solvents. If you have a potential health problem asociated with contact with these materials or with wearing a respirator, you should consult with a physician before you register.
