A nonprofit organization established to promote and protect small businesses. Provides management education, publications, networking meetings, internship recruitment services, and legislative monitoring, health and dental insurance.

Federal agency whose mission is to strengthen the nation’s economy by aiding, counseling, assisting, and protecting the interests of small businesses and by helping families and businesses recover from national disasters. Library of small business educational topics, directory to local offices, how to access counseling, grant information.

www.nfib.com - National Federation of Independent Business
Advocacy organization representing small and independent businesses in Washington, D.C., and all 50 state capitals. Gives members access to many business products and services at discounted costs. NFIB also provides timely information designed to help small businesses succeed. Library of management topics.

Provides counselors that will assist clients in developing their business plans, marketing plans, financials, cash flows and other areas critical to ensure a successful venture. Can often act as a common access point for financing, and upon evaluation by staff, can recommend or even introduce owners to the appropriate federal, state or local financing sources.

The Minority Business Development Agency - The Minority Business Development Agency is dedicated to becoming an entrepreneurially focused and innovative organization, committed to empowering minority business enterprises for the purpose of wealth creation in minority communities. MBDA provides funding for a network of Minority Business Development Centers (MBDCs), Native American Business Development Centers (NABDCs), and Business Resource Centers (BRCs) located throughout the Nation.
